Norseman update.

Run route recce. I can now see why Norseman is dubbed as the 'ultimate triathlon on the planet.' It may be a full ironman distance marathon run, but with 1500m of climbing in the final 17km, it's certainly obvious why it's classed as one of the toughest in the World. My ears popped just driving the course!

Norseman update no. 1. 

Pod parking at Heathrow airport (it's the little things!), picked up the hire car (won at Wiesbaden - not normally one to hire a Mercedes V class!), spent the next hour to Kiel ferry port getting used to driving a massive automatic car on the wrong side of the road (probably a girl thing), overnight ferry across to Sweden (went wild on the all you can eat buffet), watched the sunset, woke up in Gothenb...

Big thanks to Jem for the recent Park Tool School Bike Maintenance Course ran out the Personnel Recovery Centre in Sennelager. A really useful course full of good tips and techniques, delivered with a wealth of knowledge to keep your own bike in excellent condition…highly recommended to anyone who rides.

I did a Park Tool School course with Epic Performance two months ago, and the Instruction I received from Jem was absolutely first rate. From the start it was relaxed and informal, but covered all the points required, and with time to delve into any specific questions or points needed.
